XR Experiences

Extended reality (XR) is a term referring to all real-and-virtual combined environments and human-machine interactions generated by computer technology and wearables, where the ‘X’ represents a variable for any current or future spatial computing technologies. e.g. It includes representative forms such as augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR) and virtual reality (VR). The levels of virtuality range from partially sensory inputs to immersive virtuality, also called VR.

Latest hard & software developments offer next level experiences. Instead of looking at a screen, we can now immerse into a new realm and interact in it !

In this section you find some demos :

Apartment 509

“Apartment 509” is an architectural visualisation, to demonstrate different possibilities how the user may experience content :

Shown above is a simple 360° walkthrough, created with Marzipano.

Another approach could be a more immersive VR experiences for different platforms such as :

Google Cardboard : A simple stereoscopic viewer

Samsung Gear VR : HMD using a phone and a game controller. This way, movement and interaction with the environment is possible.

HTC Vive : HMD with hand held controllers, the maximum experience !
